Smart Negotiation System

Project Overview

The client required an intelligent solution to efficiently manage interactions among multiple parties, particularly for facilitating negotiations and handling complex interactions and approvals. Additionally, the system needed to serve as a reliable tool for preventing and resolving disputes seamlessly.

Our Approach

We developed a system that uses modular "building blocks" arranged to fit the specific needs of each workflow. These blocks can range from data collection forms to identity validation systems or contracts, depending on the requirements. Users follow a multi-step process, with each step represented by a different module. During the process, a live chat logs all interactions and allows participants to communicate freely. Participants must agree and confirm their satisfaction with each step before moving on to the next, ensuring collaboration and consensus throughout.

The implementation

This system can be implemented in any scenario where negotiation is required.

For example, in a car rental scenario:

1. Criteria Selection: The user specifies the type of car, features, and price range they need (e.g., Minivan, Diesel, 5 seats, interstate trip, 3 days, 1000 miles, $100-$200 per day).

2. Company List: A list of rental companies matching the criteria is presented, and the user selects one.

3. Negotiation: The rental company joins the chat to negotiate specs and pricing until an agreement is reached.

4. Terms Presentation: Basic terms are presented to the user.

5. Identity Verification: The user’s identity is verified.

6. Contract Data Collection: Relevant data for the contract is collected.

7. Contract Verification: The rental company verifies and updates the contract.

8. Contract Presentation: The contract is presented to the user.

9. Digital Signature: The user signs the contract digitally.

10. Payment: The user makes the payment, and the contract becomes valid.

Feedback: The user provides feedback on the process.

Mediation example

Our system minimizes the need for mediation by logging all interactions and agreements. In case of a dispute, the admin can access the entire conversation and see what was agreed upon.

For example, if it was agreed that a user could use a car for 1000 miles over two days, with an extra charge of $0.50 per 10 miles above that limit, and the user drives 2000 miles and disputes the charge, the admin can review the logs. The admin can then resolve the issue by reminding the user of the agreement and notifying the car company of the additional payment due.
